"The Arbitrum Odyssey marked the dawn of the questing meta, sparking its widespread popularity and inspiring multiple ecosystems to adopt and adapt it for their own communities." — Hunter, Community Strategist at Offchain Labs
The Arbitrum Odyssey was one of the most exciting experiences launched on Galxe, created in collaboration with Arbitrum and the renowned illustrators Ratwell and Sugoi, recognized as some of the best in the crypto and NFT space. Their meticulously designed NFTs became a centerpiece of this quest, elevating the user experience to the next level.
With 17 exclusive, free-minted NFTs at stake, the campaign drew an incredible 1.67 million participants, resulting in over 623,000 unique users and 1.67 million NFTs minted. Let’s break down the details of this quest and explore what made it such a standout success.
The Prologue
The Arbitrum Odyssey was designed to invite users on a journey through the vibrant Arbitrum ecosystem, showcasing its versatility and innovation. Spanning two months, the initiative encouraged participants to engage with various ecosystem projects, from bridging and DeFi protocols to NFTs and gaming platforms.
Along the way, users were rewarded for their exploration with exclusive NFTs crafted by the renowned artists Ratwell and Sugoi, whose designs added a unique and artistic touch to the experience. Those who collected at least 13 out of 16 NFTs earned the ultimate prize: the coveted Arbi-verse NFT, a testament to their journey through the ecosystem.
Enter The Odyssey
At the start of the campaign, users began onboarding assets through centralized exchanges and decentralized bridges, including Banxa, Mt. Pelerin, and Transak. To encourage deeper engagement with decentralized tools, bonus NFTs were awarded to users who utilized the decentralized bridge with the highest inbound ETH/token volume (without bridging out).
The campaign spanned nine weeks, organized into distinct phases:
Week 1: Bridging Week, featuring 3 centralized exchanges and 16 decentralized exchanges, giving users multiple options to participate.
Weeks 2–8: Weekly tasks tied to specific projects, with two new projects introduced each week to maintain momentum and excitement.
Week 9: The grand finale, unveiling the exclusive Final Arbi NFT, capping off the initiative on a high note.
Each week featured unique tasks tied to prominent projects such as Yield Protocol, GMX, Aboard Exchange, TofuNFT, Uniswap, Apex, 1inch, Izumi/Yin Finance, Dodo, Swapr, TreasureDAO, BattleFly, Ideamarket, and Sushiswap. Participants earned NFTs by completing these tasks, symbolizing their contributions to the campaign.

The Arbitrum Odyssey stands as a testament to the strength of collaboration between Galxe, Arbitrum, and the broader web3 community. It was a true celebration of the creativity and innovation that define web3.
